Mogadishu - 2019

list of works from this project is :

a 4k color video, stereo sound 7’20” - untitled (Mogadishu),
a series of 50 polaroids ( Somalian Holidays - 2019) taken during an eight-day trip between Somaliland and Mogadishu (Three cities particularly: Hargeisa, Berbera and Mogadishu) ,
a series of postcards : 12 old postcards purchased in Mogadishu, describing a happy period (in English and Italian language), 90 different postcards painted black which absent of any imagery invite the viewer to imagine the territory by reading the titles, hand painted in Black 2.0, and alluding to the impossibility of representation in a Sunni war-zone, 28 postcards of flags, entities, wills of independence and terrorist groups competing for this territory, giving a vexillological character to the whole research,
1 photographic print of a maritime horizon in Mogadishu,
3 t-shirts purchased at the Mogadishu market and airport: “ Beautiful Mogadishu “ - “ I love Somalia " - fake official international “Somalia” football team.
